Miles per tank?
What miles are you guys seeing per tank? Highest/average?
So far my average mixed tanks of city+ highway were in 300-370 mile range.
Highest tank I got to date was last Sunday, I ended up with 445 miles. This was not hyper-miling either, mostly 85MPH+. I was driving on flat I-10 to and from Tombstone, and on the way back I played with E55k for a while sitting at 130MPH+ on few occasions.
I now believe that 500 miles to the tank is possible. I will try to restrain myself at one point and drive straight at night at 70MPH in a Phoenix-Tuscon loop just to see how much past 500 miles I can squeeze.

Hi Kov,
That is awesome. My car runs like a champ, but, my gas mileage is awful. That being said, I am in stoplight hell. My trip to and from work is 19 miles round trip. In that trip, I have 13 stop lights each way - for a total of 26 lights. So, I could not have worse conditions for gas mileage. In addition, a lot of the roads are 35 miles per hour. That means if I don't want to lug around at 2000 rpm in 4th gear, I end up at like 2800-3200 in third at 8 miles per hour over the speed limit.
My gas mileage has been about 15 miles to the gallon......it is the only thing I don't love about my 996.
I will admit that I do get spirited between lights at times, but, not every time. If I totally took away the joy of driving the car, I could probably squeeze out another mile or two per gallon.
Take care,
Ray

Slightly different situation since I'm in a 986S... but I only get about 50 miles per tank on the track. These engines are thirsty when you push 'em right!
Normally get somewhere a little north of 250 miles under normal use before the low fuel light dinks on. Don't think I've ever broken 300 miles.

Seenu,
That sounds like what I would get if I was on on the highway instead of in town. Not calling anyone inaccurate.....but the differences we see gas mileage between us is remarkable. I would assume most of us are keeping up with tire pressures and our cars run well. You woul think we would be pretty close on consumption.... Anyway...I agree with the smiles.....I never tire of the sound of the and how smooth she pulls.

It all depends on how you drive the car. Four years ago I was over 20 mpg in around town non highway driving. Now I'm lucky to get 18mpg. But I am having more fun!
If its possible to keep your foot out of it I am really impressed with the mpg's.

Max range for me is 220 - 250 miles per tank. I'm usually around 16 mpg. I don't know how you guys get 300+ out of a tank.
