Once you realize it's just a car then you'll get over it. Mine is used for everything. My favorite was the fish tank sticking out of the back seat with the top down.

But I also have purchased mulch, baseboard moldings, tires, and now an infant in a car seat.

It's a depreciating asset so I might as well use it as much as I can.

True enough Fernando, but I tend to worship my new rides for awhile, especially one I've waited for for 40 darn years :-)
But it is just a "thing" when we decide to be pragmatic.

I know the feeling though. I used to reserve my first Porsche only for weekends and would make sure it was babied it's entire life. Then I decided to daily drive it and everything changed.

Everyone has their different idea of what Porsche ownership is and none of them are wrong. Some prefer to keep everything in optimal shape while others are ok with a little bit of roughness around the edges. I can appreciate all and certainly do like a concours car to look at - but I just love the performance too much to let it sit in my garage.

Show us some pictures when you get yours!

Went to Microcenter last week on an emergency buying trip. Needed 4 new desktop computers for the office ASAP. The look on the Microcenter guy's face was priceless when I pulled up to the front of the store to load his flatbed cart full of computers into the 996.

Well the tires were brand new and clean at least. It made no sense for me to get a ride to have my tires installed. Now I don't take my car to there tire shops anymore because I don't want them to know they are working on a Porsche. I now remove the wheels and throw them in my SUV.

Curves, not so much. :-)

MY C4S hits the road rain or shine or snow. If it gets really nasty, I take the Cayenne, although it lacks hauling capacity compared to your truck. I may need to borrow that truck one day...

Had a Gen I V8 Touareg for many years, first cousin to the Cayenne. Air suspension, euro paddle shifters, Cayenne turbo sway bars, etc. I Loved that truck!

Ultimately it just wasn't big enough to haul skis/motos/mountain bikes/groceries/whatever along with family and two golden retrievers back and forth to the mountains on weekends. The V8 Twarg performance level was my benchmark in a replacement vehicle... Happy to report that the performance of the ecoboost, especially when mildly tweaked, is really awesome, especially at altitude!

My next mod when I get time.

Nothing is wrong with using 911 as a regular car. Get a little guy trailer and you got yourself a 120mph caravan. Attach a light boat, and you got yourself a coolest thing on the boat ramp, and with weight on the rear wheels you will never get stuck going up the ramp.

I'd love to have one of those Kalashnikov, perfect for (cover your eyes Hurdi) track use.
