Default The annoying "Radio Off" message (that seems to never go away)

Problem:

When I turn the radio off I get this:

and the message seems to never go away.

Really ?

It is a silly message for a number of reasons.
#1) I know the radio is off, I just turned it off.
#2) Why would anyone want an alert that the radio is off anyway ?
#3) If the "Radio Off" message was deemed important, why should the message seem to stay forever ?

Seems the Cayenne has the same issue.

Anyone fix this "bug" ?

My Cayenne displays "radio off" when the radio is turned off. In order to make it disappear, I simply toggle to something else like nav, miles to empty, etc. My 996 doesn't have this feature/issue.

I believe in Europe (particularly Germany) there is an active "Traffic Alert" system. In the event of a traffic issue, the radio will pick up the Traffic Program broadcast and interrupt whatever station or source you are playing, and announce the traffic message.

If the radio is off, you might miss the message!

That's what the "TP" button is all about. (Traffic Program)

Toggling to miles to Empty works.

Ideally, I'd like the setting option: OFF. (which doesnt exist).

My '01 does not show that message. Do you have the On Board Computer option on your car? Perhaps this message is required by Canadian regs and not by US regs. My '06 Cayman DOES give this message though.

Hmmmm... mine has "0.8 Bar" where that message is. If you can toggle over to the boost guage you'll find your car's a lot faster.
