Out of curiosity, what's the claim? Breech of contract? Can I add anything for damages?

A bit off topic here but how do you have the car registered without a title?

Tell them you lost it. Apply for a duplicate at time of registration. They will mail it to you. At least that is how it works in FL.

Cars not registered. The sent me 3 temp tags, but NJ only allows temps for 90 days so I can't get another one. Chase bank financed it. I called them and asked if they did a title check. They said the did and the car has a clear NJ title registered to deluxe motors. They called deluxe motors and there is no answer. I bought the car from Thrift Auto Sales. They claim they have the title. They were going to overnight it to me on Thursday. Confirmed with the secretary at Thrift that it went out. Should have arrived by now.

Called NJ title bureau and they said to file an "investigation"

I am really curious to see where this leads...

Finally some closure and good news.

A package arrived from the dealer. It had the title and a check for $2000. Turns out the dealer had no idea how to transfer a title. The had to refund my sales tax and fees they had me pay.

Went to the DMV, paid the Ohio taxes and in less than 15 minutes had a plate and was good to go.

Now maybe I can enjoy the car.

Glad it all worked for you. Any pics of your repaired Porsche to share?
