That's what I call getting your moneys worth from your 996. AND we all know what the Scot thinks about getting his moneys worth. Copper wire was invented when 2 men from Edinburgh were fighting over a one cent piece haha. Danny, joking apart. Your preparation for the trip was admirable.

Glad you all enjoyed the pics. I really want to do it again, now. Really it was so much fun. We're so lucky to have these cars. There really aren't many cars that are thilling on the track, then are equally as good at long distance cruising. I never had any discomfort, aching back or anything the whole trip.
I have to say though, the people we met along the way really made the holiday. There's some amazingly friendly people out there. There was loads of road works in monza and we were struggling with satnav to find the way. I stop and got a map out. The guy who was behind us pulled over and asked where we were going. When we said autodromo international monza his eyes lit up and he said, follow me. He then took 45 minutes out of his day to guide us to monza, awesome advert for a country that. The petrol station in monza also didn't sell cigarettes but the owner handed me a couple of his. I was impressed by italy. France and Germany were also very friendly too though, but the italians really set the bar high.
I might take my 928 next time though to see how they compare :-)

Yip, and the long tunnels through switzerland, the exhaust is just loud enough without being obnoxious! :-) I've never use it in quite mode, occasionally switch it to keep it working, but not sure why porsche thought it necessary, it is definitely a button I don't really need!
