Default Engine Support Brace, Cheap!

I had a request for the cheapo engine support brace I made for about $20 vs. the one for $279. If anyone else is interested, I can post a simple do it yourself for it. I know the measurements have been posted before but I took a little different route (as usual for me).

I may even build another one from scratch just for fun and the DIY.

I'd be interested in a DIY. Does it require welding knowledge?

odurandina, shouldnt you be over in OT posting more of your ingenious observations such as this instead of wasting your valuable time here in the 996 forum?

you mean, this:
J to landskaper: "ok mr. world-class landscaper, you have your price. now if I may, i'm an engineer, and i'm going to show you the real price."
landscaper: "say hello to my little friend."
but seriously; he sounds on the high side. and you sound on the low.....
you both suck.

I'd be interested in a DIY. Does it require welding knowledge?
Yes, and its nothing fancy. Just a way to avoid paying the $279 for one.

Pete, those guys rule the forklift world but seriously, thought you might enjoy a photo of me measuring an engine to make the support brace then a photo of me composing the DIY so that even you could understand it!

The one I purchased on Ebay was $179 and was built well. Nice piece of work and well worth the cost. The engine height adjustment came in very handy for getting access to the upper bolts. I am not sure the time spent fabricating/welding one up would have been cost effective for me at least.
