It only looks "right" on the MKI, not sure why.

I do not have a bias as I don't have a car yet, but am actively looking! My first preference would be side skirts only (minus pieces behind rear wheel wells). Second choice would be no aero kit.

I think the full aero kit looks a bit too high school (yes, I would have loved it back then!)

Yes a lot of different opinions here I personally like Aero kit 2 on the facelift 996.

Default Aero

MK1 or MK2. Have and have had both. And have and still have a problem but that's another story!

Nice Car. I have a rear bumper cover with those aero bits attached in my basement. I removed and replaced due to weight and likely no real aero value for the track. But I have always liked the look of those.

Yeah I can't believe how much those GT-trims weigh. I kept them as it balances out the car visually IMO but I do agree with you about the functionality and weight penalty.

I saved 20lbs by going aftermarket muffler but probably added back in close to 10lbs with the GT Trims.

Love the aero kit on the MK1. I do not feel the same about the MK2 areo kit.

As posted earlier, the C4S and the Mk1 Aero are my favs from a style standpoint.

I'd prefer to have an aero kit on mine.

I had a choice and choose
To leave the car stock
I'm a road tripper not a track guy, I never know when I'll pull into a rough parking area or bad road.
Even as it is it so damn fast
90-100 mph and I'm in control . If I were to add aero
it would only restrict where
I could drive it

I assume Mark II/Aero Kit 2 is for the 2001 and later models? Which companies make the Mark I and Mark II aero kits?
