I think for the most part, the Aero kit doesn't really add anything to the look of a 996, and in fact, in most cases, it makes the car look shorter from the side and makes the 911 less sexy/classic looking.

I think it depends on the car. Personally, I think the best looking 996 cars are the C4S and the MK I Aero.

Aerokit bumpers, side skirts and a ducktail...

Plain Mk 1 is the closest thing to the original 911. I like the early Form follows Function design theme. But when ever you ask these kinds of questions... there is No right answer. I love what I own, and so should you.

When I bought my current 99 C2 almost 7 years ago, I was only interested in a non aero 996. However, in that time I have to say the MK1 aero is quite sharp looking and if I were in the market today, that's what I would buy.

I am onboard with the aero package as well. In my opinion, it adds a little aggressiveness to an otherwise non-aggressive looking egg. The factory kits don't look ricey. Of course, each one of us finds beauty in our cars in different ways...as it should be.

I concur but we're probably both biased.

I prefer the non-aero.

This is really personal taste, and frankly could change easily. Five years ago, I would have wanted a red Aero, this year when I finally went to buy, I only wanted the standard in silver or white. I'm sure as I continue to get older, next will be a triptronic!

We are definitely biased. That being said, if you ask people for their opinion on which look they prefer, you always get their bias! I loved the comments in the thread a few weeks ago about which color is the best on the 996. No bias there!

Clearly personal Preference...

I found the stock NB 996 a bit boring to look at. Especially in Silver!
