I understand many folks here will be against the use of an oil additive, but I cannot find anything negative about LM MOS2 use. I have never used an oil additive before and viewed additives as snake oil. I've been reading everything I can find on LM MOS2 and all reviews are positive by those that have tried it. I put it in the crankcase of my beaters(1988 F150 and Hyundai Elantra). Both run quieter and smoother. I'm still reluctant to use it in my Benz or 996. Even LN Engineering didn't find anything detrimental about it's use but did not recommend it. Here's a sampling of my research http://www.theparsecgroup.com/experts.htm. Could be marketing BS hype? What am I missing here? Of course my curiosity arises out of a hope to prolong the life of my motor. Any thoughts? Anybody try it in a 996 motor?

Overall it seems to have some staunch support. But my guess is, on this forum its going to take someone trying it and reporting some significant results before anyone tempts fate
