+1 mine fail every 25k miles/2yrs...and it's not expensive to replace anyway.

+1000 on the sending unit. Very common problem. When you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras.

I have finally taken this week off work so I'm bringing the car in Monday. I haven't been driving the car except for a few times, and last week the oi pressure gauge went nuts on me, all over the place when the car was idling. I have to admit scared me some, so I haven't driven it since. I'll report back what the indy says on Monday.

F-ck it, I'm going to change it myself. Oil change, front brakes and new sending unit.

Now where did I put my one wrench?

Find this one, you might have to grind/file it flatter if you get a thick one, and use it with your long "wobble" extension to get to the sender from the bottom. Don't get dirty!
