I would like to have your car for a rebuild if you decide.
Well you can buy it if you want, but I am not giving it away, make a fair offer and I could be inclined.

PS: small things like keeping the fiance happy keep me happy and ends up cheaper in the long run

I am 99% positive it is a D-Chunk. after pulling the plug I had coolant flowing out of the spark plug tube. I lost almost 2 liters in under 5 minutes without cranking over the motor to move coolant or create pressure in the system. I figure losing that much is more than just a head gasket. It could be a bad head as well though. My Boroscope is pretty ****ty, but when put into the cylinder it looked a lot like a chunk missing (could be bad lighting or scaring of some sort but D chunk offers best explanation imo)

I dont really care what happened to cause it at this point since either way the motor is toast and I need a new one

Jordan, the LN 3.8 is a good option. Hell the car isnt worth much without the motor. If you drop $ to upgrade you will end up spending 13-15,000+ if your heads are still good. But, you will have the torque of a 3.8 with nikasil cylinders, forged pistons and 0 miles (abbreviating the process here). I felt it was worth the investment when mine quit. Now if I could write it off and buy a 997 GT3 immediately as opposed to waiting 4 months for the 3.8 rebuild then id go GT3 ofcourse. Take your time and evaluate all your options.

If you dont mind can you give us the selling price so we will all know what ballpark we are in if we have the same issue?

Im thinking of turning mine into a household artifact.

Pretty Much, but I was lucky to find the right buyer who had a Black 996TT in a serious front end collision that could transfer over a lot of the parts, actually he may have even got a good deal considering what he would have had to pay trying to source out everything he needs.

I dont know whether I am looking for a 997.1 or 997.2, I am more concerned with it being properly optioned. It has to be Carrera white, with black full leather package (aka leather pillars, dash etc.) Also needs adaptive sport seats. Needs Chrono Package, but would prefer Chrono Plus package and nav. Needs Ceramic Comp Brakes and bi xenon headlamps. I would like Carbon trim packages and red seat belts but that can be easily changed. Biggest thing is it must be a Canadian Market car, I hate having the MPH cluster and temperature controls in Ferenheit.

I know this is pretty picky looking for a used car, but I will wait for the right one, and when I come across it, I will have no problem buying it without any regrets.

As far as daily or track prepped it wont be my daily anymore, but will see most of its time on the road, not the track. It may see 3 to 6 track days a year, about what I get with my civic now. Basically the lest modified and molested the better, so I can do that myself.
