I wired a footwell switch I had laying around to the floor spoiler switch as per an earlier threat here. Problem is the footwell switch still works fine but the new switch will only lower the spoiler when it is in the up position. Tried reconnecting the 3 wires on the new switch in a different configuration but still wont go up.
What the heck am I doing wrong here? Thx for replies.

I did the same hack, but used the turbo spoiler switch. Mine worked fine. The footwell switch has an LED light on the front. Are you connecting to the light terminal instead of the momentary switch contacts? I'd check the contacts with a multimeter. Actually, check all of you wiring with a multimeter.

I used the turbo spoiler switch too and it worked fine. Must be the connection wiring. See the following image for the connections using the footwell switch: http://www.google.ca/imgres?um=1&sa=...29&tx=75&ty=71
