Default Wider wheels....wider tires.....

For 2000 MY narrow body that is all stock now. It's a Millennium edition so it supposedly has a M030 suspension if that matters.

How much room is there to go wider without modifying metal?

Can much be done with offset plates or does it have to be done with new wheels?

Thanks!

Bill

315 30R 18" is the ultimate in coolness for rears. Looks awesome. I think the NB cars have to do a little fender work. Perfect size on WB 996.

996 GT3's are the same as Narrow Body 996's.
Stock GT3 wheels and tire sizes will fit.

I have PSS10 and run Rears at 295/30/18 on an 11 inch wheel made for a GT3.
...Fronts are 245/35/18 on a 8.5" wheel.

I'd have to double check the offsets for my wheels, but they are GT3 spec.

Depends on the offset. I've run some crazy aggressive offsets with a 285 rear tyre and 225 front.
A MY 2000 should have 265 rears.

I've done:
Front: 18x9 225/40/18 Tire
Rear: 18x11 285/30/18 Tire
Offset: Front ET35 Rear ET55

Without rubbing or any issues.

The width of the rear wheels and tires will depend on the rim and the tire. If you want a wider tire, IMO stick with the 18" wheels. If you go 19s, the width of the tire will be thinner. That has been my experience. I have 19s with 285s on the rear. I tried 305s and just too wide I have contemplated going 18s with Fikse FM10s.

You should order your Fikse FM10 wheels before the special ends on April 30

I sell mostly 225 and 285 with the best results. 235 isn't uncommon up front with occasional 245 if you are willing to add camber and are not too far lowered. Out back 305/30 would be an ideal rear max but there just isn't anything available any more. 285 would be my ideal fit without having to modify or risk rubbing.

Thanks all for the input. I have stock turbo twist wheels and wondered if 285's would fit on the rear without issue.

I'll have to look and see what offsets the GT3 wheels are. I have to admit, the whole offset thing is still a bit mysterious to me.

GT3 wheels with 285's will be a direct bolt-on to your car without rubbing issues.
