Default Car not burning oil. what is wrong??? IMS???

So my car is not burning 1l/1000km. Is there something wrong IMS bearing eating it all up and spewing it back in as its slowly collapsing?

Is this normal?

The manual says the car will burn 1l of oil for every 1000km.. So when i do my oil changes every 5k I should have about 3l left. But I have way way more. Never measured it but the computer gage will move maybe one bar at most.

You better start reading up on your car, first it carries 9l of oil and if it is not burning a lot of oil that is a good thing. Get on here and start learning about what you have!!

55 posts is a lot for a Troll, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt on that one and say you aren't, but WTF?!? Your car ISN'T burning oil so you immediately assume it is IMS related? Employing your logic (if you can call it that), it didn't rain at my house today, so a drought must be imminent. Smh...

You're not kissing the rev limiter enough.

Do this several times a day and the oil will go away.

Default lets get back on track.

All right lets get my thread back on track. Forget about IMS, I know it's hard.

Back to Oil question. The manual says the car will burn 1l per 1000km. There is no way I am burning that much. Which in a normal car is a good thing. But I am wondering why I am not burning any. is that a sign of something wrong?

And why would they put that in manual. Its kinda scary. My lexus manual does not say it will burn 1l per 1000km and its a big SUV.

maybe mix a litre of oil in your gas every 1,000m, that way you will know your buring the right amount......like a 2 stroke
