Still working out the details for the PPI to get done.
But I have my fingers crossed.

We need to get the "drive it every day! Miles of smiles!!!" and the "any amount you post I'm going to say "too high" if miles are above 50k" crowds into a cage match and sell tickets for charity

Hoping the PPI works out. Hey, I'm not sure if this is standard on a PPI, but I got them to do check the engine rev history on mine - to see if there were any over-revs. You may want to make sure the inspector can do that. Its not the end of the world if the car was red-lined, btw, it just means that the car was driven enthusiastically. If it was over-revved, that's something you want to know. There were posts on this previously.

It probably goes without saying but..pictures immediately after you get keys.

Over rev check should be part of all PPI's. There are two types: Type 1 which is soft over rev and nothing to really be concerned about unless there are numerous occurrences. Type 2's can signal a concern as this is something that can occur from things like money shifts.

Ha, yes!

I think the car is priced very well, especially for someone that's specifically looking for a Speed Yellow one. It's got some desirable options and the exact right upgrades, so I'd be all over it if I was in the market.

Also, I think miles just don't scare me any more. I'd rather have 90k miles on a well kept car than 40k miles on an abused one.

Did not end up buying the yellow 99, current owner heart was not in it. I think he really deep down did not want to ket it go.

I did however end up buying a real nice 99 locally all stock except for the wheels. 62k super clean with
New brakes, clutch, water pump and RMS. Cost me a few bucks more but it was only a 45 mile drive vrs a 500 mile one.

First of all, congrats, Andy, on purchasing a gorgeous looking '99. Can't go wrong with guards red. And the wheels look great!

I am the owner of the yellow 99 you were looking to purchase. And you are exactly right, I REALLY don't want to sell my car. I love it! But our new little one forces the sale at the moment. Family is more important. I'll be back into a 911 for sure once the time is right.

I appreciate all of the comments from everyone about the car. I think I have it priced fairly as well. If anyone is interested, let me know. It really isn't being driven much at the moment.

Andy, enjoy your "new" car. And thank you for all of your communication and patience while my wife and I had our child.

Definitely become a paying member of this site. The knowledge from others on this site is invaluable.

Sincerely,

Chris
