Cant believe this is happening!!
I put another 1000 miles on my 'new to me" 996 It now has almost 113,000 miles and nothing has broken yet. What gives??

Hey, don't laugh about the bird crap. The PO must have left a bomb on the paint for an extended period, and it etched the paint.
On the upside, it kind of looks like a track outline.

Gonna change my bearing and rms before I go to the grocery store tommorow. Then get it changed again after I get back.

Start taking it apart. Im sure you'll find something that needs replacing. You have to think positive. Hope that makes you feel better.

I have the same issue as the OP with my car. I put 300 miles on my car that already has 103k miles on it and nothing broke. I'm worried now.

Nah, the bump stops are gone. They melted when I heated the springs with a blowtorch to lower the car.
