I agree, If you have to re-do the entire front end, you can easily convert it to a 997 or even 997 GT3 look, (which I love)

I'd then just ensure a lot of preventative maintenance is done, get a nice new set of racing seats and take it to the track. Just remember to have a good plan in place. Ive made the mistake of spending $ on go fast parts, or even just stupid little bits and realizing it just pushed me into a racing class that I can't compete in.

In that case 3.8L if your budget allows, or locate a DFI 3.8L from a Carrera S model.

I would follow it up with 997 GT3RS front conversion with flares since you need to locate lights, hood, and fenders anyhow.
lol, no worries, don't often hear about people buying cars that look like that one...

I've been thinking about the 997 front end, but I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

I will be watching for a 997S at the auctions.

Would love to hear what you're thinking. All I saw on your site for the narrow cars was a couple of rear wings, so someone fill me in if there's more that I'm missing.

That RSR look would be awesome!

Horhay, you should pay up and join the forum, you'll need a lot of advice and parts from the guys here to get this thing up and running.

Gator, although I'm a Roll Tide guy, I must say your recovery on the Avatar is stunning. Love those SEC gals.

I will be the first to admit that I have been seriously impressed with the "talent" at Bama. Must be something in the water down here.

I'd build a street legal track toy! Not full on shake out your kidney stones race suspension, but a harsh ride to and from the track would be fine for me.

Edit: I realized that it was pretty obvious this was going to be a track car. What I meant was if I had the blank canvas I'd keep it street legal

I'd do a 997 front end conversion as well as rear bumper. Put in race or GT3 seats and you got your self a really fast, light fun car. Track it. You would be amazed how fast they are with all that weight removed with just a stock engine. I'd keep it street legal as well but stripped out.

That and my current DD is an 05 Cayenne S. So while I can appreciate your POV, I plan to build something that can autox, go to the track, and be driven on the back roads near me. Not something to commute in or take to the movies. For my purposes, this is a blank sheet of paper.
Then you have answered your own question.

Status Carbon Kevlar Seats

Takata Racing Harnesses

Brembo GT 8 piston big brake kits

OMP 320 Carbon S steering wheel

KW Club Sport coil overs

Aeromotions Dynamic spoiler, or cup spoiler with aeromtion dynamic controls

SSR Professor SP1 or SP3 wheels with red centers.

Yokohama Advan A048 tires

Something similar to the RWB prototype kit above or the RSR kit

I would also trim the dash, paint the car in a jade green metallic, custom make some door cards,, possibly a single lug conversion, put is a proper fuel cell, I would want to do something crazy for the motor build. take a 3.6L or if budget allowed a 3.8L bore it out, deck it, destroke it to keep similar displacement, balance and blueprint with high comp pistons, light weight connecting rods etc, agressive cam, Kinsler ITB's for a retard high reving, high NA HP build.
