Hello all, thought I would post and make an official hello. I have started posting here after selling my 928 and purchasing a 996 as a daily driver. Its a 99 C2 with 74000 kms. I did all my due diligence and did a PPI/reviewed service records and everything checked out.

I plan on doing all my own maintenance on this one (I had a supercharged 928 so ask me if I know how to turn a wrench)! Hopefully with the help of this board I will make out OK. I picked a 99 due to the double row IMS bearing, no drive by wire and it being generally more simple to work on.

Here are some pics of her, so far it has been a really fun car to drive!

+1 on the sport classic II's.. but i am biased . DIY is a almost a requirement for the 928 crowd, so i am sure you can manage this one..the engine is on the other end BTW. enjoy.

Nice looking car Ted. I have a 1999 996 C2 Arctic Silver on black, 6 speed, Sport Classic 18" wheels, with the pumpkins as yours but a cab and 64500 on the clock. I like your choice. White is good and I love the side stickers..

Usually not a stripes or Sport Classic fan, but the combination against the white car is striking. Beautiful. Congratulations!

Nice find, congrats.

FWIW, the amber parking lamps f & r scream "early '99". Mid '99 they changed to clear that look so much better. I did this to my '99 Boxster as well.

White is a very nice and coveted color on a 996.
