Default Exterior Detail -some nice pics

I took my car in for an exterior detail a couple of weeks ago. I thought the paint was in excellent shape but figured I would have it detailed to see what the pro's could do. I did some online research and found a local Long Island owner/operator that posted on some detailing forums and seemed really into what he does.

I brought the car to him beforehand and he showed me the swirls, etc...under LED lights in his shop which just amplified the minor swirls I had noticed in sunlight when I bought the car. He made a recommendation on the best process and the pricing was right so I scheduled for a week later.

The car came out way better than I ever expected. One of the things he does is to post the pictures, process and results out to a website.

Here's the link, I think it's great write-up....

Jon does great work. That is a fantastic turnaround for a one step process. Enjoy!

Jon? The guy who did it was Bryan from Mr. Sparkle Detailing.

I was talking on the phone with a friend named Jon as I typed. Mr. Sparkles is well known in the Detailer community.

I used to detail my ferrari, and I say USED becasue I don´t do it anymore. Park it and leave it there for an hour, come back and admire more fingerprints than a CSI could see, zipper scratches from people who lean on the car to take pics of themselves with a ferrari, even saliva... Its just wasting time and money. Same goes for the 911. Love to see the process and these threads though.

Very nice! I wouldn't have thought that was a 1 step paint correction if it wasn't pointed out.

I am always surprised how good the Optimum Hyper spray compounds and polishes are. Since I acquired the Rupes I don't use it much but the Hyper finishes down so damn well. Great one step polish with no dusting.

I'll have to keep that in mind once my current stash of polishes runs out.
