I met the owner of the car in the original post this summer (or, they actually did make more than one of these in this color combo). Nice lady, she bought the car because she liked the crazy color combo. It was pretty cool in person.

Anyone have pics of the Ronald McDonald turbo that used to be on rennlist?
Some poor dumb ba****d ordered a black turbo with partially black interior and alternating red and yellow plastics.

That car is now in Washington State - appropriately - The Evergreen State. The 996 is now owned by a friends daughter. Again appropriately, she is a very talented artist. Interesting bit of history - the 996 was originally leased to a "Hollywood" business. I assume ordered for a Starlet or Studio exec...? It is loaded with options and a very good purchase ... if you can live with that interior.

If it was a coupe without the wood trim I think I could handle the color combo. Break up the interior with some painted trim or carbon fiber. Add some black wheels and the right stance...it could work.
