Default Issues w/convertible top on 2000 996

All of a sudden my top is really slow going up and drops really fast on way down. Any suggestions???

Late last year I had to replace one of the hydraulic arms that where damaged. Hoping I don't have to replace other.

In what way was it damaged? Do you mean worn out or something? If so, then the other may need replacing as both are likely to wear the same. Put the top into 'service mode' position and have a dam good look around to see if anything might be missing or catching. Has an arm come loose somewhere? Inspect under a strong light. Do you hear any scraping sounds when going up or down? When you have done, don't forget to connect the wires either side under the rear window. Good luck. A good guess would be the other arm needs replacing.

I've read that low hydraulic fluid can cause behavior like this as well - might want to check the level.

Remember, if it is low - you probably have a leak - there's no where else for it to go.
