Rant about 3rd radiator kit...
I don't really "need" a 3rd radiator but just like I didn't "need" coilovers, I figured I'd give my car a present and spoil it as usual.
It just irks me that the 997 center radiator kit is under $200 when the 996 one is $600 avg and practically for the same type of parts.
Here's a 997 kit for example: http://www.ecstuning.com/Porsche-200...aign=postreply
Now if you aren't an OEM parts ****, you can assemble one yourself and save about $150 using some aftermarket bits.
OK Rant off.
Just gotta decide now if I want to get the deflector shield behind the radiator which only some seem to use. Also gotta decide on bottom cutout for venting or if I wanna decide to poke holes at the top of my bumper cover ala Cup Car style.

The shop then swapped the tilt of the center radiator. Ducting is not that important because with the mrk1 bumper there really isn't any room left in the center radiator space.

I got the 3rd Radiator last summer and it solved my heating problems on track days >85 degrees (F). I was having heating troubles after 15-20 min in a session that required me to drive slower and keep the heater on Full-Blast to keep the temp under control.
Note: prior to the 3rd radiator, I did clean remove the bumper and carefully clean the radiators each spring before Colorado's track season. I also tried Watter Wetter. Neither of those helped.
BTW - Along with the 3rd Radiator, I also had the thermostat (160 degree "low temp") changed and the fan-switch mod (fans always on high).
Now, with the 3rd radiator, I can drive 30-40 min sessions on 90-95 degree days without any engine heating problems. (my brakes already had mods for heat...)

If you search, you'll find members that have tried to fit center radiator on the 40th aniv without success. The turbo and 40th have different side radiators than regular Carerras, plus the 997 systems are very different than 996 systems.
