Mike- glad it worked out with the replacement. We have a short shift kit install article on Pelican Parts which describes how to change the shift cables (sorry no pictures of this step). Usually there are other issues with the shifter, bushings or transmission that leads to issues with sloppy shifting. While checking transmission mounts you can check the transmission ends of the bushings. If they are worn then you will need to replace the entire cable. It is a straight forward procedure of disconnecting the cable from the shifter and then feeding it through to the transmission.
