Default FS: VF-Engineering Supercharger

The system was bought new in March 2011 and has less than 5k easy miles on it. No track days. I dyno'ed 430hp to the rear wheels on a mustang dyno on a 997.1 C2S. The system will fit any 996/997 Carrera, C4 or C4S. Price is $4,600 plus shipping (retails for $8,000) for any 996. I'm selling because it voids my aftermarket warranty and I want to upgrade the suspension. I am the first owner of this system. For any questions please pm or email me at

ctkihara@yahoo.com

EDIT: You must have VF retune your ECU, I can not give the buyer my ECU. A tune from VF is an additional $1,200...

Any photos of it in action? At least of the engine?

These are great units. I just drove Ferd's supercharged car in the twisties leaving Lime Rock Park last summer. It is very smooth and predictable with its power delivery. Not quite the power/torque of a turbo but like butter...

Interesting. I had a 996 turbo and this system on my 997.1 C2S pulls noticeably harder, especially in the higher RPM's

If it's not too much to ask, when you finally pull the kit, can you please post pictures of the parts? Or better yet, take pics while the parts are coming off. I would lime to build a kit for my car and it would greatly help if I didn't have to reinvent the way the SC was attached to the engine.

The kit has already been pulled off. Unfortunately the car is still at my local shop getting some other work done but I can post pictures of the kit when I get my car back later this week.

If I may ask, what are you hoping to see? There is a picture of the complete kit on the VF website.

Sometimes parts stay assembled when they are removed. This is good for figuring things out.

Are you interested in buying the system?

I already have a Vortech head unit and would like to build a set up for my 996. I did a home built system for my 928, eight years ago. I'm looking for details. However, anyone looking for a kit should seriously consider yours. The price is excellent.

SC'ing a M96 with 11:1 CR. Wonder how long the rods will last before they exit engine? Low boost and high CR is an inefficient way to SC an engine, especially one as marginal as the M96. These are pretty much maxed out with @350HP. Pumping them to 450HP+?? Cant be good. I would like to see some durability tests of a SC M96.

But,, I know IMre has the ability to try it and a backup plan if it explodes.
