HI,
I am trying to change my start-up screen on mine but when I upload and image, the screen shows it in ONLY 8 colors.... It was saved as a 16 bit image but it never comes out right...
What software do you use to generate the image?! Do you have anything with a chevy logo by any chance?! If not, I could send you the image I like, maybe you can modify it for me so I can upload it - if you have time? Thank-you

what year was your C4S, I have an 04 with the fiber optic and was told by Becker that I had to rewire the whole car to change the headunit.

I assume you have a kenwood unit, check out this thread for all the details regarding what you need to do for the images:

Mine is an 03 so I ended up bypassing the fiber optics all together and got a separate amp. If you dont want to do rewire the whole car, you may want to try this MOST-HUR unit by nav-TV:

According to a previous thread, this unit would work even though it was meant for the Cayenne, but it is pretty pricey:

So forgive my ignorance to ICE installations, you wired in the head unit to a new amp, and them use the cars speaker wiring from the amp?

If so do you have to cut connectors off to do this?

I ask as I am interested in a new installation, but still want the option of turning it back to the standard setup

cheers

You will need two adapters - one at the headunit to get the power/ignition for the headunit and the other for the harness that plugs into the Bose amp in the trunk in order to interface with the existing speaker wires without any cutting. It is called Autoleads PC2-95-4 and I had to order it from England. This is the ebay link:

I may have an extra one which I never used for my 997 so pm me if you are interested in getting one and dont want to wait for the item to be shipped internationally.

I just purchased some stickers off ebay for mine.... check this seller out. Just send him an email and he can make the stickers any size. I had some made at 2" long.... looks, good but might be better at 2.5" or so....

Yes, they are very fine vinyl stickers, but mine came with the bezel kit.
