Congrats Mike.

BTW, those are the worst wheels you can have on your car. Contact me if you wanna get rid of them before the bolts fall out.

Congrats, looks like a mid-later year '99 with those tail lights, unless the PO replaced them, although it has the early '99 headlights. Does it have the CDR 210 or CDR 220 in the dash, that may also clue you in. Looks good, get a PPI like everyone says, and then drive the crap out of it!

I did a pretty through PPI myself. I know cars inside and out. Everything looks pretty good with the exception of an oil leak. Hard to tell where it's coming from. Will need to clean it up and see if I can trace it. It doesn't leave any drips, just the bottom of the engine is damp.
No check engine lights, no other leaks that I could find. Owner had receipts from this year for belts, water pump and cooling fan.

I build Factory Five Replicas from the ground up including engine assembly as a hobby so repairs should be know problem.
Can't wait to drive the wheels off of it.

None of that matters... It's a 996... You have no idea what that means... There is a near definite chance it will explode... Explode big... When it does, the entire neighborhood may go with it... Run fast now... Run fast and run far!!!!!!!!!

I kid I kid! As a Boxster owner it isn't exactly new territory. Congrats on the new ride and looking forward to cool DIY posts as you "dig in"

Nice car and you lucked out with the sweet BBS rims on it!!! Congrats. Not all 996 require alot of maintenance like mine did. You might get lucky.

So nice to see another MY99 join the club. Mine has been very reliable to date and I enjoy driving my Porsche every time. Welcome to Rennlist.
