I did an amberectomy when I first bought the car, but always found the replacements dull and gray.

So I bought a set of crystal clear side markers - at least to my eye it's a big improvement:

Here it is lit up at night

Agreed get some HoenUSA Chromium bulbs or equivalent the orange bulbs do not look too good in there w/ clear.
Also, on my car I actually like the smoke goes better with the Silver GT color IMHO but I do like these clear ones for other colors.

on a Seal Grey MK2, the grey side markers are perfect. But I can easily see where on a black car, or white, the crystal ones would be far, far preferred. And you can easily just use silver rustoleum rattle can spray paint to spray your orange bulbs lightly. Voila, no orange, and still amber when on. Been doing that on cars for many years.

I agree on black car comment but spray painting reduces the light output of the bulb. With Chromium bulbs you get same output as regular orange bulb but with no orange.
OP, wheer did you get those they would be great on my buddies black car.

considering it's a sidemarker and doesn't need to have wide dispersion pattern, LED bulbs are also an option.
I've been doing this for quite some time now and never had the LCM(light control module) complain and throw up error codes on a side marker light only. They also sell error-free bus LED bulbs as well if there are any concerns or if your LCM is finicky.
