Default Oil change soon, anyone have deals on Mobil 1 0W-40?

Last time I got some great deals on Mobil 1, can't find any out there from Autozone, Pep Boys, or Advance. Anyone have a lead on a good cheap source for some Mobil 1 0W-40 out there right now?

You may have to call them, but Autozone was having a buy one get one deal on oil just recently.

Cheers,

DS

WalMart I buy it there all the time $6.98 per quart. Then I go to Checker and pick up a K&N oil filter. Everything cost me just about $85 with tax, 10 quarts and a filter.

There is nothing that I hate more than BS online arguments with armchair experts that don't even change their own oil,
This comment is classic and I agree X1000.

I have met some very awesome car guys that dont touch their cars. They drive them and they understand them and they have someone set it up for them, and they are brilliant!

some of them will be in Daytona at the Rolex 24Hr in about a week or so

Check out the "Letters to the Editor" in the newest Excellence. One reader indicated that he changes his Mobil 1 0-40 every 3,000 miles and asked a question about running a different weight during summer.

Before they gave their advice to run 5-40 year round, they made a not too subtle dig stating that "given the brand and formulation" that a 3K interval was wise due to diminishing levels of ZDDP.

Check the Mobil site. I went there and found that they had mail in rebate promo active and it directed me to the retailer. I bought 2 of the jugs and I think they netted out at like $25. Can't remember exact pricing, but it was cheap.

Just wanna follow up on the last post I made. I found this link at Mobil and it allows you to have promotion info pushed to you. It also says promos will return in the spring.

well it was certainly surprising to see this printed in THE Porsche enthusiast magazine of choice. With a warning that increased valvetrain wear was a consequence of keeping oils like Mobil 1 in the car for more than 3K miles. Their words not mine...

They encouraged the use of boutique brand oils with ZDDP of at least 1200 PPM and discouraged "mass-marketed" oils whose diminishing ZDDP levels have slipped past the radar of most owners.

I'd be curious to know if Porsche (on Mobil's prompting) reached out to Excellence after printing that.

This was not a what oil is better thread or what oil do I need thread. I just want to know who has the cheapest deal for Mobil 1 0W-40. I have ran that oil in my BMW and Porsche combined for over 6 years and am happy with it. My local Walmart carries every Mobil 1 weight besides 0W-40 or I would buy the jugs there.
