Default Victor Equipment Innsbruck on NB 996?

Anybody running Victor Equipment Innsbruck wheels on a narrow body (2000) 996 Carrera? Any problems with the rear wheels rubbing? I don't see any problem running 18x8 ET45 fronts, but 18x10 ET50 rears seems to be a bit aggressive without fender rolling, no? Is the outside edge of the rim of the 18x10 ET50 in the same place as the stock 18x10 ET67 with a 17mm spacer, or do I have the math wrong? (US spec M030 suspension, 265/35R18 tire if that matters....) When I did a search for this wheel it seems I only found WB fitments.

Do a search, IIRC MiamiC70 has the Innsbrucks on his 40thAE and he just installed X74 suspension. his post may state the offsets he went with...

Hi There,

When i first installed my Insbruck wheels with 10.5 inch rear rims mounted with 285's I thought there was no way these wheels were going to fit> So much so i put tape on the inside of the rear fender and driving inside the paddock to ensure they would not run and blow out a tire on the track...

The good news was no problem, no rubbing and no issues.. My car has the X-73 suspension which may help versus the stock setup..

here is a pic i took when i first installed them.
Enjoy

Rob: Those look great. What size tires are you running in the front?

It will fit your mk1 996 NB barely.
There is less room in the rear of a mk1 than a mk2 996.
I am also running the same spec via the Porsche 17mm spacer in the rear and 5mm spacer in the front with no problem on my mk2 NB.

However if u track the car this wheel may not be the best.

Can you explain further what you mean by this?

I have these on my 40th, they are great and I have a 10.5 with a 295 on the rear with no rubbing even on the track.

They are pretty light (better than std), look great and are good value.

I did a post when I got them with the weights, do a quick search and you should find it

I have these as well on my x74 equipped 2004 40th Anniversary currently running as follows:
fronts are 18x8" w/55mm offset and 235/40-18
rears are 18x10.5" w/ 55mm offset and 285/30-18

On old suspension rears were 295/40-18
