Opinions on best looking 18" rims for 996 WB...
I've come across lots of threads on the best looking rim options for a variety of 996es but most people seem to take the "bigger is better" route with upgrades. I don't want 19s on my C4S for reasons varying from from comfort to engineering. I've seen nice 19" set-ups but I'm really not interested; not to mention that the tires currently on the car barely have 1K miles on them.
Are there any decent 18" options to fit a WB 996? I happen to love the OE Turbo-look Twists on the car but I've been thinking about different options recently. I love the look deep dish rims but all of the ones I seem to come across are 19s or bigger. I also like BBS-style rimes (CH, CH-R, etc.) but the smallest of those, too, seem to be 19s. I should probably add that I'm not looking for a track wheel so, while weight is important, a wheel with similar heft isn't an issue.
Any thoughts (other than, "how about a set of 19s?")?

Sport Technos!
There are also some very nice options available in 18" from HRE.

Those Victor Equipment Innsbruck wheels look really good...

Don't judge me! But I'm partial to painted turbo twists more than any other wheels on a C4S. And I'm not usually all 'get of my lawn' about wheels but there is something about the look I really like. I've also seen a LOT of aftermarket wheels that ruin the lines of the 996. Just my opinion.

This is the HRE R43 in an 18" diameter. It's the one that I'm most seriously considering for my C4S.

I thought about this long and hard for months before I made a decision. What was important to me was:
A good quality wheel
Something that was easy to get if I needed a replacement
One that used stock lug bolts, and that was hub-centric
One that took OE sized hub caps
Something lighter than the hollow spokes and actually as light as possible
One that looked attractive, clean, simple, light and open
One that did not dominate or become the focal point of the car but enhanced the existing lines
One that was fairly priced
I preferred to spend around $2500 and up to $3k
I went with the Victor Innsbrucks in black. Over a year later, I'm very pleased with my decision

Some great wheels out there we ran techart on our 996 and 997 cars. Greet look. Have them in 19 for the gt2 but changed out for Oz racing wheels. Highly reccomend these in the alcherite color it hides any brake dust. Great

I have the same dilemma at the moment. I love the Turbo Twists on my C4s but am craving something else . It seems impossible to choose something in an 18" that I will like as much as my current twists. I have it narrowed down to a few... As you can see I have a fetish for Japanese wheels
