Thanks everyone!! Those pictures give me a lot to think about.
Great question. I'm thinking somewhere around $2K probably.
No, I'm not limiting myself to aftermarket only. I actually love those Sport Classics. I almost bought a C4 with those wheels before my C4S and those rims were a huge draw for me. Unfortunately, I believe they are NB fitment only.
Those Victor Equipment Innsbruks are very nice! They've been creeping into all of my searches. Maybe it's a sign!
I love the twists on the C4S. In fact, I don't think I'd sell them if I bought a new set of rims for the car. I recently saw a 997 C4S with an awesome set of rims that I haven't been able to identify. They almost looked OE but I haven't been able to find them anywhere. They had a BBS-style design but were sort of dished like a bowl in the back (rather than just offset). I'm sure they're 19s but they got me thinking about possible upgrades.
As for the aftermarket, I'm not looking for spinners on 22s. I prefer a clean classic look.

Don't judge me! But I'm partial to painted turbo twists more than any other wheels on a C4S. And I'm not usually all 'get of my lawn' about wheels but there is something about the look I really like. I've also seen a LOT of aftermarket wheels that ruin the lines of the 996. Just my opinion.

I think I actually found the ones I saw on the 997!
They're DPE CS16 (Super Concaves). The ones I saw on the 997 were silver but they're custom cut so they seem to go for about twice what I'd like to spend and they're also 19s+. If they're the wheels I think they are, I don't think these pictures do them justice.

P.S. Or maybe the ones I saw were these...either way, I think you get the point...

Thanks, KC. I've already got turbo style twists on the car...
I'm really just trying to figure out what other options lure me in like the twists already do!
I really like the mesh rims but I kind of wish the spokes on the Victor Equipment wheels were a liiiiiiittle closer together; more like the Porsche Sport Classics.

Innsbrook VE, are great rims. Nice and light too, which was a serious consideration for me. Took approx 38lb of rotating mass off my car vs stock turbo twists. No going back for me.

My advise on rims is to buy classic HRE, Champion, FIKSE or BBS styles used. You will get your money out of them when you sell. OEM wheels will continue to depreciate over the long haul.
