Default Birthday Shakedown Cruise - Fabspeed MaxFlo Competition Intake

My sweet wife hooked me up with a Fabspeed MaxFlo Competition Intake for my birthday. Being the kid that I am, filled with anticipation, I couldn't wait to get it installed and promptly took care of business. It is a loverly bit of eye candy.

I did measure the air intake temps and once you are moving over 45 miles an hour it is within 5 degrees or less of the outside ambient temp. When you are going very slow / standing the temps do increase a fair amount over ambient. From a performance perspective it does feel like I have improved throttle response. The grunt over 5K RPM is pretty wicked. I tried to catch the sound on a little video I made with my iPhone. My son's facial expressions crack me up. He looks a little scared but said he had a lot of fun.

All in all I feel it's a worth while mod. I also have the FabSpeed MaxFlo exhuast so this compliments it well. Next mod on the list B&M SSk. I am also looking for an ECU tune to maximize the improved breathing. Any suggestions? I would prefer one I could load myself via OBDII.

You weren't turning hard enough if your son is able to cross his arms the whole time and not be grabbing the o $hit handle.

Now what's for Christmas?

Lol Alpine! So true, unfortunately not much in the way of curves around here . I'm thinking a B&M ssk would be a lot of fun on the track .

Vancouver and BitEm she is definitely a keeper. Just celebrated 20 years on the 12th.

Barn996 thanks we had great fun.

It's a great sound. Performance improvement is specious but I like mine too. You'll love the B&M SSK, esp on the track -- one of my best mods in terms of bang for the buck.

996_C4s put the B&M on last week. I haven't had much opportunity to drive it yet. Decided to have my console recovered in leather while it's out since its showing wear and tear. Waiting on Robert Budd at Classic9 to get the piece to me. Can't wait to get back out on the track and try the B&M ssk out. Hopefully I can hit Roebling in Feb.
