Aerokit installed ... what color code is it for slate grey?
My car is coming out of the body shop with the new aerokit, I love the new aggressive look.
On the color tint, I am a bit upset they did not match the old paint tint. they simply painted with the factory color. Now, the new parts are more grey than the rest of my car that has a 'yellow/grennishh' tint to it.
So I wonder if it is my paint that has gotten that old style tint or if they painted a different kind of grey.
The code under the hood is L23F and they told me they painted 23F. I wonder what is the proper color code for my slate grey car ?
I know there are many dark grey at porsche: slate grey, atlas grey, ect...
Any help on the exact color code for my 2003 slate grey would help relive my OCD

Can't help with the code paint issue but the good news is your car looks f-ing sweet.

Looks great! Do any of your original panels have a clear bra? The metal flakes look better on the new paint. It would be difficult to match a nearly 10 year old paint to a new one, don't you thnk? I think you'll be fine.

yeah I am just trying to figure out what is the color paint based on the sticker and if the 23F is the right one.
Really from farther away than 2 feet you can't really tell the difference. But sometime I get a little obsessive

The original clear coat sometimes fades or yellows. It is a problem (not saying that is what happened in your case). It would have been better if they blended up the paint and then re-cleared the entire car. However, that cost much more....

For slate grey, 23F is correct for water based and 22D is for conventional paint. Both are metallic. +1 on the comment that blending may be needed to really match an older paint. Car looks great nevertheless.

the only way they will ever match is if they do a blend where they spray onto the next panel to blend the color then clear all the painted areas. BUT before you get that far, look at this video and check out what a good detal can do to make you paint look like new again.
go to 12:49 to check out the diffrence in the part detailed compaired to the part not delailed. it will look like your new painted aero kit to the rest of your car.
