I have an good cat, but I forgot which was the bad one when I removed both of them, I need to stop by my storage to see which one was bad and which was good. I'll keep you posted.
I have replaced with high flow cats and I don't think I'll put them back on.

Thx for the replies guys. Even though the MKI cats will fit, I'd really like to stick to the MK2 (2002+) cats if possible. Please let me know if you have one or a set.

i will soon have one good cat off the car. Pretty sure it is the one on the left when you are looking at the *** end of the car. Getting my 200 cell cats tomorrow!

Barn, I did split the case and do a partial rebuild on it - and stick a new transaxle on it (it had a 2nd gear pop out/grind issue since I bought the car)- about 12k miles ago but yes, currently at 177.5k. I was just in Maine two weeks ago btw!
