Doing a gut check on my indy - need to replace the water pump on my 2004 C4S Cab - he is quoting 3 hours labor?

Thanks in advance,

last time I had asked, I was quoted at the dealer $900 total
substract $300 for pump $100 for 'stuff' you have $500 labor / $150 -> 3.5 hours yep sounds about right.

Kromdom.. you have a damn good indy !

with expansion tank , nice.. because I think that expansion tank is not that easy to remove laborwise.

Sounds right, took me about 5 on my own, so 3 at an Indy with a lift and experience seems fair. That said, I wish Krom's indy lived nearer to me!

Found him years ago when I needed warranty work for a BMW 740iL......he successfully lobbied on my behalf to get approval for work previously denied. Became a fan and loyal customer since then.

I am lucky indeed that he is less than a 15-minute drive from me. Plus it also allows me support a local business.

Actually had mine done today, and watched the entire process. RAC in Dallas. They charged $800. The tech was a veteran and it took him about 2 hours.

Good luck!
