In the 2 years of ownership I've only had positive comments from others about my car. I just got back from a 1k mile road trip and at nearly every stop someone said " nice car" or something similar.

I am constantly getting comments about my car, & then you should see their face when I say...."Yep, not too bad for a 13 yr. old car"

Yes I do feel like an *** at times for having a couple of Porsche's in the garage. Most all my neighbors have Mercedes'.

My wife got some comments like "Wow u guys must be loaded", or "Your husband is going through his mid life crisis" .

Well the 911 was always my dream car, and I would always talk about getting one one day to everyone, family, friends etc.

So yes, I did get the car when I turned 40 (maybe coincidence but was my goal to have one by then). My wife always told me to go ahead and get one for the last ten years but practicality (2 kids) and $$ concern kept getting in the way.

I finally took the plunge, cant be happier and don't realy care about other peoples opinions. My other cars are a 2003 Infiniti G35 and a 2004 Acura MDX, so I am not extravagant. I dress nice, but always shop for bargains. I make sacrtifices for the small things so we can enjoy some other things in life.

Life is about what you make it and if you work your *** off you deserve to reap the benefits o your hard work!!

The only thing he's collecting with new Ferraris is a crap ton of depreciation. They make way too many of them, they're not hard to get, and they are so overpriced that depreciation curve would rival any hockey stick in the NHL. Like all cars, Ferraris are meant to be driven - ALL OF THEM. Even if you have an older special Ferrari, you have to drive it regularly, and I don't mean to Starbucks.

I've owned 5 Ferraris over the years, none of them to flip - they just weren't quite the right cars for me, although all were great cars - and I have never lost money on one and drove all of them a lot. They really are great cars to drive.

Owning a Porsche doesn't make you an ***. Thinking someone is an *** based on the kind of car they drive makes that person an ***.

Years ago I bumped into a guy who brought his new 360 Modena to a party at a common friend's home to show it off. It took him 10 minutes to figure out how to get the car into reverse and he needed the assistance of two friends to guide him out of the [straight] driveway so that he wouldn't hit anything when he was leaving. Now, that's an ***.

I say screw the asses and enjoy your car. Okay, that came out wrong but you know what I mean.

Never. However Porsches are a dime a dozen around here so they are nothing special. Lots of Ferrari's, Astons, Lambos and the like. It damn near takes a Bugatti Veyron to turn a head! Now that guy might be an ***!

I'm pretty sure you meant to say 360 Modena. The Mondial is one of the worst Ferrari's to have and you definitely wouldn't be mistaken for an @ss.
