Before/after photos, ROW Sport Suspension?
Anybody have any before and after photos comparing the US Sport Suspension to the ROW Sport Suspension for an early 996? I'm thinking I'd like a slight drop and perhaps a slightly wider stance.... What do they call that, less dead cat space?...

Great color! Looks like VIR, hope you enjoyed your track day.
As for the suspension, though the ROW M030 is a neat set up it's not a completely drastic change. I think you'd get more out of a set of better tires. Looks like you have Dunlops on now. I'd suggest RE011 or if you want a more civilized tire the Pilot Sport.

Anybody like the H&R sport springs with the US sport shocks/struts? I'm not sure yet where I want to take this car (stock/daily driver, slightly modified driver, dedicated track car). I was thinking I might try the H&R sport springs with my existing shocks; push the front 7 1/2 wheels out a little (10-15 mm depending on tires) and the rears out slightly (again 5-7 mm depending on tires given I haven't rolled the fenders.) And get some decent track tires in the Spring. Thoughts?

I've got H&R sport springs with the stock shocks/struts on my '00 C2. It's a slightly modified driver that sees as much track duty as I can afford. The springs were a definite improvement over stock: less body roll, better responsiveness on turn in, and no more harsh on the street. I plan to replace the shocks in the next year or so, but they seem okay for now. I put 7mm spacers on all around and the resulting lower and wider stance dramatically improved its looks.

I swapped stock to ROW-M030, there was NO ride height difference I could notice.
The car drive very similar fashion. I think it is only worth doing if your suspensions are shot.
If not spend the extra money and get PSS10 Bilstein or GT3 suspensions, or X74 if you can find them.
PSS10 adjustment really can change the car handling with the twist of a button, and ride height is great.

The ROW lowers it by 1/2 inch. The ROW is different than the USm030 in that the spring are a little shorter and the shock valving is stiffer. The two share the same sway bars and the spring rates are the same. The ROW is a bit more buttoned down feeling than the US version would be mostly due to the shock valving. Is it worth it to you is something you have to decide. FWIW I am changing over to a more track oriented set up and I will be parting with my ROWM030 stuff.

ROW is not much - in fact it's stock....just for everywhere BUT US
so if you want to make it better get a real sport suspension like the X73/74 - PSS9/10 or GT3 set up
you will really be sorry if you do the ROW and think it will be a step up -

I think that it will be difficult to find the X73/X74 suspension set-up as I do not think that they are available anymore......maybe Europe only. Occasionally you will find someone in here who is changing their set-up..if you want to do this sooner rather than later, might want to look for Bilsteins or others such as JRZ, Moton, KW, etc. GL in the hunt.

The X74 is getting harder and harder to find (even used). The PSS10's would be the next cheapest option... if you are willing to go off the cliff, we can set you up on some Motion Control Dampers.
Scott's car looks and runs like a dream with the JIC set up.
