sorry OP - I meant nothing more than a counter point to the suggestion I quoted here and wasnt even talking to you but rather to the person who wrote it - rather as a joke or in some seriousness (I assume it was tongue and cheek)

If you get side skirt (GT3 or other) as stated...this needs painting

If you were thinking about new rocker panels anyway, then why not cover the damage as long as it isn't raw metal, then you may want to protect it from rust.
