window washer fluid light
so i noticed i was out of window fluid the other other day. no lights were on but when i went to press the lever for the window fluid, all i heard was the motor. so i figured i just needed to fill it up.well i did this. and then after that the window wiper fluid light came on and still nothing would come out. the motor for the pump or whatever just got louder. what gives? why would the light go on after i put a lot of window fluid in there?

Not a clue. It may have some kind of an air blockage after you pumping it with no fluid in there. Keep pumping and see does it start working again. If not try compressed air in it if you can seal the cap as you do it. No more than about 20 psi like used when adding brake fluid to the bleeding system. IT may kick the system into working again. From your posting I will always keep my washer fluid topped up.

This happened to me as well. Took it to Downtown LA Porsche Dealer, leak in the tank by my right front headlamp washer. They wanted 175 dollars plus to fix it. Haven't yet. Light is always on.

Could be a crack in the plastic reservoir. Once you locate the crack on the reservoir - you can fix it by using this product Permatex PermPoxy plastic weld. This product is sold in any auto store. Tank has to be completly DRY before fixing.
