Default PSE/Gundo Hack on gemballa cans

Hi everyone

I've been reading up on a lot of posts but still haven't come across a post on somebody doing it on a non-stock muffler. I have Gemballa cans on now but they're not loud enough so im gona take them off and take it to a local shop to do the welds by the end of this week but as far as I can remember when I put them on it didn't have the caps like the stock cans where you weld the pipe. I've seen some pictures of people actually just welding a connector pipe in between the two pipes (inlet & outlet pipe on the can). Any thoughts if both ways work the same? I have 2003 996 c2

I finally found the time to take my mufflers to a local shop and get the PSE hack done. After debating on either 2 inch or 1.5 inch pipe i decided to go with the 1.5 inch pipe due to already having gemballa cans which are semi loud so with the 1.5 i got exactly what i was looking for. By far the best mod i have done so far.

It sounds awsome. No drone in the cabin what so ever. Its more throaty in lower rpm's and screams nice when you open it up.

Just to think. You could have gotten a great test ride, bought the car and had the best of both worlds.

Which one do you think is higher maintenance? Also the Car wont take half of everything down the road.
