Turn signal issue pt2
#31
There is a small tab inside the turn indicator box that can easily break if old or abused when you move the lever up or down. I have been thru three in 16 years. Has anybody disassembled and tried to repair or rebuild the turn indicator and replace the plastic tab with some thing more robust???

Three Wheelin'
Hi guys, about to do this repair / replacement but a quick question:
There are several multifunction control stalks for sale - some with and without obc/cruise.
can't I just buy the basic one without obc/cruise stalks and just take my old one and put it in?
Specifically could I buy 996-613-213-10-EWC and fit my old cruise / obc stalks in it and anything else I can salvage from old part to fix the signal stalk

I need to do to this fix as well I have the 4 handles piece and I'm about to purchase it from pelican parts. My question is for the ones that have done this with the 4 handle piece have you had to reprogram the on board computer? In this article it says that you have to reprogram it.
Also what is the difference in the parts? Even tho the part numbers are different which part is best for my car? Mine has the temp display, mpg, and trip counter.

i didnt have to do any reprogramming at all.
biggest non issue issue was getting the steering wheel lined up properly when reinstalling. so be sure to mark it properly before you take it off.
