That'll buff out. No worries.

You're screwed. Door frame damage, suspension damage -- it'll never be the same.

Oh I've seen worse. Not an easy repair, but that'll be fine. It's a sturdy chassis.

Take $$$, pay for bodywork, rattlecan paint, add cage, gut interior. No resale value after this

Good news. Repairs are complete. Ahsai was about spot-on: total bill was $7,100 (which the other guy's insurance paid). No damage to the sub-frame or any suspension components. New door, quarter panel, and window regulator. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the Frankenstorm to pass and taking it out on the road again.

Looks so fine!
As to the weather, today was the first time I didn't drive a Porsche in bad weather. My wife urged me to take her Susuki crossover telling me it is the best bad weather car when you put it in four wheel drive. Well, although I am glad I didn't risk the C4S today, I am putting my winters on tonight and if I venture out to work tomorrow it will not be in that Suzuki. Now how do I not hurt her feelings?

Maybe they will total it and you can start over. If not be sure to ask for diminished value after the repairs are complete.
First time posting -- got the car a couple of weeks ago and finally got it registered just last Friday. Beautiful Zenith Blue 2000 996. Very clean car, full records, 66K miles. Sport suspension, heated seats....

I had hoped to be asking questions about maintenance and upkeep, instead I get to ask about this:
![](http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8178/8007897177_a7f8f7f16e_z.jpg)
Driving down a secondary road and I get T-boned in an intersection at 40 MPH. The other driver was pulling out from a side street, looked both ways at the stop sign, and then just continued into traffic. He hit between the center of the right rear wheel and the center of the door. Airbag didn't deploy, but the door won't open which is never a good sign. The rear wheel is a bit toe-in which also isn't good. The good news is that we did a very nice 180 across both lanes of traffic without ending up in the ditch on either side of the road and I finished facing a flat-bed tow truck which was right behind me.
So what do you think? How bad is it? Anybody want to take a guess before I head off to the adjustor?
