I did the upgrade dualrow and dont worry about it at all. Yes Jake I took your list of preventive items to the dealer and we did almost all of them including the water pump.

I am glad Jake did the work he did to help develope the IMS update and I hope he makes alot of money for his efforts.
+1, and Jake thanks for all the info which made my decision to replace IMS and water pump very easy.

I bought my 996 for what I condsider a very reasonable price for a great sports car, so putting a little extra in for the LN IMS when changing my clutch was a no big deal. ^^^ MIamiC70 +1 on my therapy every time I hit the throttle.
