Default Tail won't automatically deploy

1999 996. I can manually raise the tail with the switch however it doesn't deploy at speed by itself. Any ideas?
Thanks

Maybe you aren't going fast enough? I believe the deploy limit is 75 mph.

Don't think the motor is the problem since I can raise the tail manually using the switch in the footwell. I was thinking some kind of speed sensor is bad. Just don't know how this thing is controlled.

Have you any idea when it stopped working automatically? Thats if it ever worked since you bought the car. I know it is impossible to know from driving position. How do you know it works from the footwell? Do you have someone in the back seat kneeling up? Or someone following you? Sorry I dont know what magical formula Porsche put together to make it work from 75mph onwards then return at 40mph from whence it came. Obviously some sensor is supposed to activate at 75pmh and it aint budging. Wish I could help. Good luck.
