If you aren't that big of a guy it really is hard to go wrong with the factory euro 996 gt3 seats for a seat you sit "in not on." I know what you mean. My 996 comfort seats were a tremendous letdown from the 944 sport seats in my last Porsche. The 996 euro gt3 seat is nice because it is factory fit and finish and will only enhance the look of your interior, not to mention it is super-light so it is easy to put in. I have comfortably done several 6 hour trips in them but I find that using the dead pedal is uncomfortable on my left leg, so I have to find somewhere else for my left foot to go. I have size 14 feet though haha.

Just wait for a pair of used euro gt3 seats to pop up; they're worth it.

Thundertub I will be back in JAX in a few weeks. We'll have to actually meet up. I just bought some R-comps for the 996 too! You should come out to an autox.

Look in the parts for sale, and WTB sections on RL. You'll be amazed at the stuff available.

Also check out what the locals have; freinds, and dealers. I am sure you can get some seat time to check out other options.
