Default GMG RollBar install-Help!

First post, just got my first watercooled 911, a nice white 996, early model.
I am installing the GMG rollbar and looks like there is a plastic cover behind the carper that is interfering now. What is behind it? both sides.
Please let me know if anyone modified/cut the palstic cover for a better fit of the rollbar.

Thanks,

Hi, Joe...it's Glenn. We recently talked about the M030 kit I'm selling.

Anyway, while I don't quite have an answer to your question, I wanted to say that if you need an extra set of hands wrangling the rollbar into place (or doing any other work on the 996), I'd be more than happy to help.

Best of luck!

this is the "tight" spot the rollbar can not rotate more. Access seem to be via removing the side covers
Anyone has experience with the removing of the trim/carpet located on the sides of the rear seats under the window.

Thanks Glenn, I'll keep you posted, the wrangling is done is "almost " in position.
