I need to mount my amp and digital processor. I've seen people mount stuff in the trunk like this:

any problems with that? what is behind there? possible to just screw the amp and processor in?
Please don't mind the mess, the cables will be cleaned up![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

There are several options. One could be fabbing a bracket--if space and size of the amp permit--to mount your amp in the space set aside for the factory cd changer--assuming you don't have one installed. The changer mounts in sthe pace above&behind the reservoir bottle in your photo. Or, presuming you want to maintain storage space and usability, you can also mount the amp vertically in the front of the boot. I had a large 6-channel amp mounted on a board (carpeted to match the boot) that was then mounted to the front. The cables were routed through the carpet to the main wiring harness. Neat job.

The previous owner of my 99 C4 did a great job at fabbing a large bracket to hold the amp he had installed in place (I take no credit for the work):

To me it seems like the best possible way to mount a large amp in a C4 and is completely reversible too.

Mine's mounted where the CD-changer was originally located.
