2nd gear started really popping out this summer, did it most of the time in the winter when I thought it was cold. Hopefully this will fix or prolong a trans rebuild. Will keep you guys updated. Car just hit 71K miles, had new clutch, gaskets, and IMS fixed about 2000K miles ago. Love the car and want to keep it for quite a while more. 2nd gear only pops out when it is downshifted.....still, pain in the ****. Also, fresh fluid will be going in at the same time...trans and oil.

 

Well, did not get the fluid fixed...but got the GBOX detent put in. Made a little bit of a difference but still pops out...just not as much. I figured it would not be a magic cure all but thought I would try it. Looks like it will buy me some time so I can save for a rebuild. Wanted to give you guys feedback on it though.

 

Anyone know of a good trans rebuild place in the Colorado Springs/Denver area?

 

Boulder seems to be the epicenter of good rebuild shops & I doubt you will find a better option for having it done right the 1st time. GBox seems hard to beat.

 

Gbox themselves are in Boulder.

 

Looks like eventually I will have it shipped to GBox in Boulder then. Thanks all. Right now going to drive it till 2nd gear does not work at all. Anyone have a rebuild done by GBox and know what it might run me?
