Default Buy 2002 996 targa now or saving money for 991 in next 5 or 6 year?

Hi, which is better,
I can afford 996 targa 2002, 25000km on the clock right now,
Or saving money and wait for used 991 on sale in 5 or 6 year?
Please give me your advise,thanks

I recently drove the 991 and was extremely underwhelmed by its electronic steering. I felt disconnected from the car so personally I wouldn’t suggest waiting for a 991.
But I stress that’s just my opinion and others may have different.
Go a drive both then you can make an informed decision based on your own preference
Nice problem to have though!

Go Targa now. I think you will find that the 996's have depreciated pretty much as much as they can. In five years sell it and go 991.. or better yet 996/997 Turbo.

You are getting older everyday while not owning/driving a Porsche, are you really going to wait that long? Get the Porsche that you can afford and justify today, and go enjoy it to the fullest!

I've never heard anyone say, "Gee, I wish I hadn't bought my Porsche." Life is short; go for it!

I'm sorry but your question is stupid. It is difficult to see how anyone could possible answer that kind of a question for you.

You already have a classic and wonderful Porsche. Think of the 996 as a newer, more aerodynamic, lighter, more technologically advanced version of what you have. Drive one, I think you'll be impressed. If you choose to buy a 996 now, it's hard to say what you may want several years in the future.

If you're thinking of a change, I'd definitely go for a Turbo. If you like the Targa, you'd be blown away, ha, by the Cab.
