Default Question about the width of this wheel

I know I should know this stuff.......

Anyone know the width in the rear of this rim?

I also can't figure out what this style is called.

TIA

Pretty sure it's called a Carrera Classic. Not sure of the width.

The width and offset are stamped by the valve stem on factory wheels.

Really? Learn something new every day. I thought I needed to take them off. Will look tonight. These have 285s in the rear and they "almost" look to wide. I will be putting them on my Sport Technos this weekend which I know are 10in wide.

They could be aftermarket knockoffs, because the outter tips of the spokes look very pointy. On my Boxster, the OEM 19" wheels are more blount at the tips.

Marc is correct. The first number will be the width and the second number is the offset.

My guess is they are OEM. This was a CPO car. The car is at home so I will look. One look inside will tell me. I looked the 18's up on Wheel Enhancement and they look like mine. I can't wait to see the Techno's on the Vert

Tim - that's the 18-inch Carrera wheel, which was available in 2002. They are actually pretty desirable wheels because they are light weight relative to some other OEM wheels. The rears should be 10" wide with an offset of 65.

The wheels shown on the Boxster above are the 987/997 Carrera Classic, and they are slightly different.

You should have no trouble selling the light weight five spokes if you choose, or you could always keep them for your winter tires.

I have also heard them referred to as MY02 wheels. I have shiny ones on the 40 AE.

Good to know. i will sell them off after the Tech's are installed. Got an AWD Volvo for winter driving

But rest assured it will get out in the winter. Colorado has wonderful sun in the winter And that is what heated seats are for

I've always loved the Carrera 5-spokes because:

1) You can see the cross drilled rotors
2) You can see the BIG REDS and calipers
3) Pretty easy to reach in, and keep the barrles cleaned & detailed

FYI, Rear OEM Sport Technos are 11in wide, offset 63mm. Turbo's use a 17mm spacer.
recommended tire size 295/30/18. Didn't mean to throw another
wrench into your project.
